While dental practice focus on weekly monitoring of their sterilizers with biological indicators or spore tests, each sterilization pouch or wrapped pack/cassette must have indicators that validate that the instruments have been exposed to all the parameters for sterilization. In addition a indicating integrator must also be used to validate each sterilization load. In this CE webinar, learn more about the types of indicators and integrators and how to incorporate them appropriately into your sterilization process.
During this CE webinar, we will • Differentiate between a sterilization indicator and a biological monitor • Identify the types of sterilization indicators • Discuss CDC guidelines and AAMI Standard 79 requirements for validating each load of instruments • Compare various sterilization pouches with indicators incorporated into the pouches
